JOB DETAILS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
• Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize revenue and control costs.
• Prepare variance analysis reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess progress towards targets.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Collaborate with department heads to create annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Update forecasts based on changing business conditions and market trends.
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
• Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with statutor requirements.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay informed about tax regulations and ensure timely filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory payments.
• Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities to address inquiries and compliance issues.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (ACCA, CFA) is a plus and can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail, beauty, o service industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
