JOB DETAILS:
Programme Officers ; Youth, Leadership and Governance Programme, Civil Society Strengthening and Grant making, Economic, Climate Justice and Migration, Policy research, advocacy and campaigning for social justice programme.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Supervises the Administration Assistant.
Prepares and submits requests for staff salaries and payments
Overseas the administration and Human resource welfare in office
Is a member of Management and a member of the Procurement Committee
Prepares and is a custodian of cheque books
Provide financial advisory to the programmes, management and Board
Where applicable collects cash from the bank
Approves financial expenditures from the programmes team and other staff.
PROGRAMMES OFFICERS
Programmes Officers are responsible for managing the budget of that specific programme/department
Are responsible for writing project/programme proposals together with the Programmes Manager and or the executive Director.
Drawing activity and or programme budgets and placing financial requests
Undertake accountability for previous activities conducted
Representing the organisation in relevant and activities related to their programmes and or departments.
PROGRAMME MANAGER
The Programmes Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing Programme Officers
Reports to and is directly supervised by the Executive Director
Works closely with the programmes Officers to draw weekly, quarterly, monthly and annual work plans
Prepares weekly, monthly and annual programme reports
Is part of management
QUALIFICATIONS
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and or related field
CPA level five is an added advantage and highly encouraged. Those pursuing other levels of CPA may also apply.
PROGRAMMES MANAGER
A Bachelor's degree in Economics and Development Studies, international Relations.
Post graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management
And or any other related field.
PROGRAMMES OFFICERS.
Youth, Leadership and Governance
knowledge in youth work, youth related policy, human rights, governance and or knowledge of international relations and diplomacy among others.
Civil Society Strengthening and Grant Making
Potential applicants maybe holders of bachelor's degree in international Relations and Diplomacy Studies, human rights, governance and accountability among others.
Experience working in the civil society sector previously is highly encouraged.
economic, Climate Justice and Migration
Potential applicants may be holders of bachelor's degrees in Migration and peace, economic development, development studies, demography, environment science among others.
Policy Research, Advocacy and Campaigning for social justice
Potential applicants maybe holders in a bachelor's degree in Public Policy, human Rights, economic Development among others. Applicants should be knowledgeable and or have keen interest in advocacy, ability to write compelling pieces, ability to analyse government policy and forge networks and alliances among others.
