Job Summary: We are looking for a Finance and Administration Manager to serve as the institutional anchor of our growing hospitality and leisure business in Kampala. This is a hands-on role for a finance professional who brings equal strength in financial management, HR administration, and organisational governance.

You will report directly to the Board of Directors and take responsibility for the systems, records, and professional frameworks that keep the business financially disciplined and operationally stable.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly budget vs. actual reports, and annual financial statements
  • Manage all payments, cash reconciliation, petty cash, and budget monitoring
  • Lead recruitment at all levels and administer the full HR lifecycle – contracts, payroll, probation, leave, and disciplinary processes
  • Manage procurement, supplier relationships, and competitive quotation processes
  • Oversee the Sales and Marketing function, including event promoters and commission tracking
  • Maintain the asset register and oversee stock management
  • Prepare Board reports, attend Board meetings, and support strategic planning and KPI tracking

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum five years’ experience in financial management, administration, or corporate services
  • Background in corporate services, financial services, NGO, or professional services
  • Hospitality experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks
  • Sound professional judgment, personal integrity, and comfort operating within a governance framework
