JOB DETAILS:
Reporting To: Regional Supervisor Engineer
Position Overview
The role involves working in the Field Operations (Field Ops) department of a leading telecommunication business. The primary responsibility is ensuring network stability through proper preventive maintenance (PM) at field sites. The role includes technical troubleshooting, collaboration with various teams, and proactive reporting to maintain high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with line management, NOC, Planning, HLS, and contractor teams.
2. Resolve customer complaints escalated by designated teams.
3. Participate in regional and company-level field meetings.
4. Identify and resolve hardware and software faults with minimal delays.
5. Innovate PM and CM methods while optimizing operational efficiency.
6. Proactively report on group activities and deliver weekly reports to the line supervisor.
7. Develop close working relationships with various network teams.
8. Support and advise peer engineers on technical and operational issues.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering.
• Knowledge of RAN/TX nodes and mobile telephony (2G/3G/4G/5G).
• Experience in vendor BBU, RTN, and NR radio transmission nodes.
• Familiarity with PM and CM principles and fixed-line CPE installation.
Skills and Competencies
• High interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft reporting packages.
• Understanding of ZTE E flow operations is desirable.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Certifications
• Work at Heights certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Valid Defensive Driver’s Certification.
Additional Information
• Age limit: Not more than 40 years.
• Experience in mobile telephony and fixed-line technologies is preferred.
