JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Managing Director in the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with the organization’s objectives and mission.
- Lead cross-functional department teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Analyze overall country operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, and prepare reports to provide insights on team performance and operational outcomes.
- Facilitate communication between department managers to promote a cohesive working environment and ensure alignment on objectives.
- Mentor and develop Uganda Management team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, management, or public administration
- Several years of experience in a field-based leadership or management role across Rural Districts of Uganda, preferably in a Social Enterprise.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members, stakeholders, and other external parties.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address problems quickly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proven track record of leading and managing teams and the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
- A good understanding of the rural cultures, demographics and economic conditions of Rural Uganda.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively.

- Budgeting and financial management: Knowledge of financial principles and the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environments and to be flexible in response to new challenges and opportunities.
- Uganda Field Experience: In-depth knowledge of the rural economies in Uganda, including current trends and best practices in sales and marketing.
- Driving: A valid driving permit and willingness to travel as often as needed to support field operations in Uganda
