Background
Machapala Group is recruiting for its subsidiary, Machame Refineries, a fast-growing energy company commissioning a state-of-the-art pyrolysis plant in Nyenga, Jinja. The plant will convert waste tyres and plastics into pyrolysis oil and other sustainable fuels, contributing to industrial energy solutions and circular economy development. Job Summary:
The Feedstock Handler is responsible for ensuring a consistent, safe, and quality-controlled supply of raw materials to the plant, supporting uninterrupted production and maintaining required input standards.
Key Result Areas:
- Feedstock materials (tyres and plastics) are properly received, sorted, cleaned, and prepared in accordance with plant specifications.
- Contaminants are effectively removed to maintain feedstock quality and protect plant equipment.
- Inventory levels of raw materials are accurately tracked and maintained to ensure continuous production.
- Storage conditions are managed to ensure safety, minimize degradation, and prevent losses.
- Coordination with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams is effectively managed to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Handling processes are conducted in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a certificate or diploma in logistics, warehouse management, or a related field. Experience in industrial material handling or warehouse operations is preferred. Candidates should have basic inventory management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
