Job Summary
Poultry Farm workers perform routine tasks on poultry farms, such as collecting eggs and placing chics, providing poultry with feed and water, and disinfecting houses to prevent disease.
- Minimum Qualification : Certificate
- Experience Level : Entry level
- Experience Length : 2 years
Job Description/Requirements
- Ensure birds have access to food and water
- Walk through the house to Identify sick or injured birds
- Utilize proper biosecurity standards when entering and exiting houses
- In layer houses, assist with egg collection, packing and sorting
- Conduct maintenance on the house and watering system as needed
- Control house lighting to meet bird needs
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare
