NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 06:00-09:00/17:30-20:00 split shifts.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as a domestic assistant to ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained.

Knowledge, Training And Experience Required

Knowledge-

  • Ability to work with people as part of a team
  • Effective verbal skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to meet physical demands of job
  • Ability to carry out tasks assigned effectively in demanding and busy environment

Training-

  • Initial Departmental Training
  • Completion of Departmental Lesson Plans held within the Training Manual
  • Ongoing training to meet changes in Health and Safety, Food Safety, Moving and Handling and Infection Control Protocals
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • COSHH
  • Ability to perform all tasks and duties throughout Facilities department. Staff will be trained to facilitate cross service working commensurate with job descriptions for Facilities Assistant (Porter & Catering- Patient/Retail)

Experience-

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Infection Control
  • Food Safety Certificate (not essential as training will be given)
  • Working within a large organisation
