Job Description

*****Submission of a sample video demonstrating a facilitation or coaching session you conducted is a compulsory requirement for this application.*****

AMI is looking to grow its pool of ambitious, Uganda-based freelance facilitators to support delivery across our expanding client portfolio, including corporate teams, MSMEs, development programs, and youth initiatives. This is an opportunity for dynamic facilitators with strong people skills and a passion for practical learning to help drive change across Uganda.

Facilitators will deliver our world-class content using AMI’s unique blended learning approach—combining digital tools, engaging activities, and in-depth discussion to bring practical business skills to life. Facilitators work on a freelance or project-based consultancy model and are engaged per assignment, based on program needs and their availability. Facilitators will join a dynamic, international team focused on results. We work hard, innovate constantly, and have fun in the process. This is a chance for someone with a passion for learning, people development, technology, and business growth to be part of Africa’s transformation.

We are looking for excellent facilitators with great people skills and confidence. AMI facilitators respect our proven content, processes and methodology but bring their own flavor to the classroom or boardroom. Before becoming accredited AMI facilitators, candidates must attend a virtual 2-day training and selection programme, and complete online assignments and assessments. They will then shadow current facilitators and engage in peer feedback and assessment. Once accredited, facilitators will need to maintain their accreditation through an annual review and assessment process and will be expected to attend quarterly refresher courses, both online and in person.

Successful candidates will then facilitate blended learning workshops for a range of clients depending on AMI’s needs, from small groups of senior executives at client companies, middle managers and supervisors, larger groups of entry-level staff, or even small-scale entrepreneurs.

Preparation

  • Review and prepare using AMI’s facilitator manuals and session guides
  • Collaborate with the program team to localize content for client needs
  • Liaise with the Client Success team to ensure all logistics and materials are in place
  • Research the client’s sector and context to deliver relevant sessions

Workshop Delivery

    • Deliver in-person and/or virtual workshops using AMI’s blended learning model
    • Manage learning tools (e.g. AMI Learn app), activities, breakout groups, and session flow
    • Create an inclusive, engaging environment that encourages reflection and participation
    • Ensure learning objectives are met and workshop feedback is collected
Follow-Up
  • Respond to participant queries and support learning journey
  • Share session insights and learner highlights with the AMI team
  • Complete session reports and contribute to program evaluation

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilitation, adult learning, corporate training, coaching, consulting, or enterprise development
  • Strong facilitation presence—able to confidently lead workshops with diverse audiences, from corporate teams and SME owners to youth groups
  • Demonstrated experience customizing delivery based on client context and learning level
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Workspace, learning apps)
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written (English required; Luganda or other local languages a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create safe, respectful learning spaces
  • Flexible, organized, and highly responsive
  • Commitment to AMI’s values.
  • Coaching or facilitation certification is an added advantage.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
