Are you the next Executive Assistant to our Executive Director?
Women in Technology Uganda (WitU) is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and skilled individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to an impactful organization that focuses on empowering women in technology and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support:
o Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director (ED), including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments.
o Manage the ED’s  communication, including drafting emails, taking notes, and preparing reports.
2. Fundraising and Donor Engagement:
o Assist in donor relations, including proposal writing, follow-ups, and ensuring donor requirements are met.
o Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for fundraising activities.

o Track fundraising activities and contribute to engagement strategies to sustain relationships.
3. Event Coordination:
o Plan and coordinate organizational events, workshops, and meetings.
o Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, partners, and external entities on behalf of the ED.
4.  Information Management:
o Maintain a system of organized documentation, ensuring confidential and sensitive materials are securely stored and accessed appropriately.
o Handle logistics for the ED’s domestic and international travel, including bookings, itineraries, and follow-ups.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Support other departments in preparing materials for executive decision-making.
o Ensure team members are updated on organizational decisions, key schedules, and events.

Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
• Experience:
o 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Senior Administrative Officer, or in a similar senior administrative role.
• Education:
o A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
• Technical and Professional Skills:
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Proven experience in fundraising and donor engagement processes, including drafting proposals, organizing events, and managing donor relationships.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email tools.

o Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Desired Attributes:
o Highly proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful with a strong ability to work independently.
o Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
o Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to manage team tasks when necessary.
