JOB DETAILS:

Successful candidates must have relevant experience and recognized expertise in large international onshore/offshore oil and gas projects. The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English.

Activities
• Reporting of status and Capabilities of the ERT of the Project to the Project HSSE Manager and Project Construction Manager Integrating an ERT Team of the Client, MDR and the Subcontractors Taking charge and managing a team of ERT personnel to deal with foreseeable threats on the project

• Auditing the subcontractor HSE Teams ER Capabilities and their roles at the work site

• Overseeing the development and assisting in the execution of the Project HSE Programs as defined in the Project HSE Plan and supporting Plans and Procedures
• Monitoring the development and performance of the ERT through conducting regular drills and exercises

• Ensure the ERT maintain the highest performance through regular training and refresher training as necessary

• Being fully conversant with the leadership, objectives and expectations of the Project
• Be an active member of MDR's Incident Response Management Teamn Be fully experienced and be able to undertake emergency response capability in areas such as Firefighting (use of water and foam), recovery of occupants from vehicles, be able to undertake recovery of persons injured or otherwise from height, assist with medical emergencies, significant or major spill response, recovery from confined spaces, natural disaster events etc.

• Liaise with Client ERT, Subcontractor ERT's and security functions.
• Driving any "Step Change' and behavioural development, necessary to achieve World Class' safety performance
• Provides office ERT support and assistance as required

• Assists in the development of project procedures by providing guidance on Lessons Learnt, Industry Standards, Corporate Initiatives and other relevant documentation that may impact the development of the HSE Management System

• Coordinate Emergency Hazards throughout the scope of work and identify and make recommendation on emergency resource levels resources and plant, equipment, materials and consumables necessary to mitigate potential emergency threats.
• Assist Subcontractor in the preparation of rescue plans for high risk work activities

Basic Qualifications/Experience:
• 5-10 years’ experience in managing ERT crews in either construction related or operations project
• Hold a National Driving License for firefighting trucks.
• Recognized emergency rescue and response qualification such as that endorsed by Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Services.
• Fully trained fire fighter
• Recognized training in aspects of Emergency Response
• Recognized training in aspects of Emergency Response. ie. Fires, High angle rescue, medical recovery (Advanced First Aider) etc.
• Recognized HSE Qualification preferrable
• Must be able to drive, and in possession of a valid driving permit for firefighting trucks and related clearances
• Computer experience to Intermediate Level
• Good Working knowledge of Microsoft packages as a minimum
• Good English language reading, writing and speaking
• Individual must be self-motivated
• Understand the importance of timely completion of task
• Background working within an ERT
