About Organisation:

Association of Refugee Women in Uganda (AORW-U) is a women’s rights organization comprised of women refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, and Somalia. It operates as a not-for-profit and is led by refugee women. AORW-U initially started as a self-help group for a few women refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who could meet once a week to discuss their well-being in Uganda.

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Enterprise Development Officer to support refugee women-led businesses. The role involves providing training, mentorship, and market linkages to strengthen entrepreneurship and improve livelihoods among refugee and host communities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver business training and mentorship to refugee women entrepreneurs.
• Facilitate market linkages, partnerships, and networking opportunities.
• Support the development and implementation of business plans.
• Monitor and evaluate business performance and growth.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in enterprise development or business support.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability in market research and analysis.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools.
• Strong financial acumen and accounting skills.
