Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care to expectant mothers.
2. Monitor and manage the labor process to ensure safe delivery for mothers and babies.
3. Educate mothers on proper postnatal care, breastfeeding, and family planning.
4. Identify and manage complications during pregnancy and delivery, referring as necessary.
5. Conduct routine maternal health check-ups and vaccinations.
6. Maintain proper documentation for maternal and child health services.
7. Promote hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition in the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have a Certificate in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
2. Must be registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
3. At least 2 years of experience in delivering maternal health services.
4. Ability to work under pressure, especially in rural health facilities.

• Applicants should attach photocopies of all academic certificates and transcripts, National Identity Cards, three recent passport-sized photographs, and any other relevant documents.
• Serving officers must route their applications through their respective supervisors who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delays. Applications should bear the title of the post applied for as well as the Reference Number.
• Shortlisted candidates must bring original academic documents and identity cards at the time of interview. Applicants who shall not hear from Sironko District Service Commission on completion of the selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful.
