Description
Our client in the Oil & Gas industry is looking to hire a candidate a qualified and experienced Enabling infrastructure deputy package manager
Location: Kampala Uganda
Reports to: Enabling Infrastructure Package Manager
Main accountabilities
- To assist the Enabling Infrastructure Package Manager in the organization, management, and control of the Package.
- To assist Enabling Infrastructure Package Manager to supervise, co-ordinate and control all the EI activities and to ensure that the execution is conducted in accordance with the Project referential.
- Direction of the Construction Execution Contracts for the Enabling Infrastructure including access Roads, CPF Site preparation, Well pads Site preparation and wellhead area civil works, , airstrip upgrade and logistics facilities Site set-up.
- Support in coordination of the Enabling Infrastructure package activities which are mainly civil works: earthworks, concrete and buildings.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Call For Tender (CFT) and Contractor selection activities for all the Enabling Infrastructure required for the development of the upstream facilities from pre-selection phase up to the award of Construction Contracts.
- To define the responsibilities and battery limits with the other packages of the Project.
- To define the EI organization and to identify the required personnel to be mobilised for the relevant activity.
- To lead and coordinate all the activities of the Package for each phase of the project detail design, fabrication in accordance with the defined Project budget and schedule.
- To implement the HSE and QA/QC Project requirements at all stages of the Project.
- To promote innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- To Monitor and manage the work performed by the Contractors, identify any deviation in cost and schedule and make proposals for corresponding corrective actions.
- To organize and manage the Package technical and quality reviews.
- Coordinate with other package project managers and facilitate cross-organisational optimisation and interface alignment.
- Update, monitor and control budget, time schedule, cost and quality and provide reporting
- Manage contracts (e.g. tender, negotiation, variation orders and claims). Maintain relations to contractors/suppliers
- Continuously identify, analyse and manage project risks through the project incl. implement response plan.
- Plan reviews, inspections, campaigns, test and other Q- and HSE activities
Qualification:
- Engineering degree.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, engineer with proven experience in Operations, Site works & Project Management.
