4. ELECTRICIAN (1)

Job Title: HOSPITAL ELECTRICIAN
REPORTS: HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR
Department: ADMINISTRATION

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
o Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized training school o Proven experience working as an electrician, preferably in healthcare or hospital environment o Flexibility to work on-call shifts and overtime as needed

Job Summary: Maintaining and ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems within the hospital

Duties /Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair and maintain electrical systems, equipment and fixtures within the hospital facilities
2. Perform routine inspections and tests on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

3. Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems, implementing appropriate decisions in a timely manner
4. Coordinate with other maintenance staff to schedule and prioritize electrical maintenance tasks

5. Respond promptly to emergency electrical situations such as power outages or equipment failures and take appropriate actions to restore functionality

6. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections and equipment inventory

7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and infection control
8. Provide guidance and assistance to interns or apprentices as shall be required
9. Stay up to date with industry standards, codes, regulations related to electrical systems and safety practices

10. Can perform any other duty assigned to him/her from time to time by the Hospital Administrator.
