JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Coordinator to lead the planning,
implementation, and monitoring of education programs aimed at improving learning outcomes
and strengthening education systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in
teacher training, curriculum development, advocacy and inclusive education, with a proven
ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects in diverse contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the implementation of education projects in collaboration with government
agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of teacher professional development programs, with a
focus on learner-centered and inclusive pedagogies in GFS supported schools.
• Develop and pilot innovative instructional materials, including audio and digital
content, for early-grade learners.
• Monitor and evaluate program activities, ensuring alignment with project goals,
timelines, and donor requirements.
• Facilitate capacity-building workshops for educators, school leaders, and community
stakeholders.
• Promote gender equity and disability inclusion across all education interventions.
• Manage project budgets, reporting, and documentation in coordination with finance and
M&E teams.
• Represent the organization in education sector working groups and consortium
meetings.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, International Development, or a
related field, with a solid background in supporting education-focused programming.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in education program coordination or
management, preferably in donor-funded projects.
• Demonstrated experience in teacher training, curriculum development, and
instructional design.
• Strong understanding of education systems in low-resource or transitioning contexts.
• Proven skills in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English required.; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
