JOB DETAILS:

The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated Individual to fill the role of a DRIVER.

Job Purpose:

Transport staff and company products to assigned destinations and ensure the vehicles are kept in good condition at all times.

Key Result Areas:

• • Handle all driving assignments as approved by the supervisor;
  • Carry out daily pre and post vehicle maintenance checks:
  • Adhere to the highest driving standards by complying with the transport policy and the road safety act
  • Ensure assigned vehicle has all the required documentation at all times.
  • Ensure daily cleanliness of assigned vehicle.

Qualification and Experience

• A Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E).
• A certificate in defensive driving.
• The applicant must possess a valid driving permit with at least 3 classes B, C, D1 & E.
• At least 3 years' driving experience in a commercial environment.

Technical competences

• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good knowledge of Uganda's road network.

Behavioral competences

• Ability to write, read and speak English fluently.
• Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
• Should have a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with odd hours and night shifts.
