We work across three practices areas, energy, infrastructure and development, to support clients, such as, Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is seeking a Driver to support the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Architectural and Engineering (A/E) services project for the Northern Uganda Development of Enhanced Local Governance, Infrastructure, and Livelihoods (NUDEIL) activity. The objectives of NUDEIL are to support local district governments in Northern Uganda to plan, design, and construct small infrastructure projects that will improve the delivery of services in the education, transport, and water supply sectors. The Driver will be expected to provide transportation services to GPTech staff and visiting consultants. This position will be located in Gulu, Uganda.

Responsibilities:
• Abides by the GPTech Vehicle Usage Policy as well as applicable Uganda travel laws. (e.g., ensure all occupants wear seat belt, practice defensive driving, stay off phone while vehicle is in motion)
• Drive in a safe and conscientious manner
• Correctly maintain the travel and maintenance logbook for your assigned vehicle
• Ensures vehicle is serviced, clean and fueled before scheduled trips
• Files mechanical status reports for the vehicle
• Advises the Operations Manager on license, insurance and service items
• Ensure your assigned vehicle is parked in a secure location at all times
• Ensure all occupants wear seat belt
• Practice defensive driving
• Will avoid attending to phone calls or messages while driving

Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 years working experience with USAID funded organizations
• Must be fluent in English
• Good time management skills
