Job Purpose
To develop comprehensive and integrated District Plans, monitor and evaluate their implementation.

Key Outputs
i. District development strategies, plans and budgets formulated, developed and coordinated;
ii. Performance standards and indicators for the district prepared and disseminated to users;

iii. Technical support provided to Departments in preparation and production of District Development Plans;

iv. Investment priorities in the District determined;
v. Performance of District Development Plans programmes and projects coordinated, monitored and evaluated.
vi. District Management Information System maintained;
vii. An up-to-date bank developed and maintained;
viii. National and district policy appraised; and
ix. Minutes of Technical Planning Committee produced.

Key Functions
i. Formulating, developing and coordinating District development strategies, plans and budgets;
ii. Preparing and disseminating performance standards and indicators for the district to users;
iii. Providing Technical support to Departments in preparation and production of District
Development Plans;

Experience Requirements

Should have at least six (6) years of working experience as a Planner three of which should have been at Senior Level in public or reputable organization.

Education Requirements

An Honors Bachelors Degree in Economics, Statistics and Quantitative Economics from a recognized Institution plus a minimum of a Post graduate qualification in Planning and management from a recognized institution.
