DISPOSAL OF LIVING GOODS ASSETS/ITEMS
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Living Goods aims to save lives at scale by supporting digitally empowered community health workers. We work with governments and partners to leverage smart mobile technology, rigorously strengthen performance, and relentlessly innovate to cost-effectively deliver high-quality, impactful health services. To support our ambitious growth targets, reduce procurement lead time, and ensure value for money in procurement, Living Goods invites sealed bids for the purchase of used items as listed on the Living Goods website.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BIDDERS
Items can be viewed from the warehouse called Beyond Logistics, located at 1188 Kyaggwe Road, Block 113, Namanwe Industrial Park, between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (Tuesday to Friday) from 22nd April 2025 to 29th April 2025.
1. The deadline for submission of either hard copy or soft copy bids is April 30th, 2025, at 5:00 pm Local time. Soft copy bids can be sent via email (procurementug@livinggoods.org). Bids submitted after the deadline will be rejected.
2. Hardcopy/physical submissions will be accepted. Bid documents in sealed envelopes properly addressed "Disposal Bidding to Living Goods" shall be deposited in the bid box that is suitably placed at the main gate of the Living Goods Support office located at plot 21, Hanlon Road, Bugolobi.
3. Items are to be sold to successful bidders in the "AS-IS" condition.
4. Living Goods reserves the right to reject incomplete applications.
5. Successful bidders must make payment within three days upon notification and pick up their item(s) from the point of sale at their own cost.
6. Living Goods reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without incurring any liability or being bound to give reasons for its decision.
7. Bidders MUST include these in their submissions: - Name of the bidder, phone number, item name, item reference number, and amount offered. Bids may be submitted on any type of paper provided all required details are clearly included.
Additional Job Description:
Living Goods is disposing of various used assets and IT equipment as part of its regular asset management cycle. The available items (specific listings available on their website) typically include:
• Used IT equipment (laptops, tablets, smartphones) previously used by community health workers
• Office furniture and equipment from field offices and headquarters
• Logistical equipment used in health supply chain operations
Key Requirements for Bidders:
• Must inspect items in person during designated viewing periods
• Must clearly indicate bid amounts for specific items
• Must arrange and pay for transportation of purchased items
• Must comply with payment terms (100% payment within 3 days of notification)
