JOB DETAILS:

Location: Kaberebere Town Council along Mbarara-Isingiro Road - Uganda

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications to customers, ensuring proper dosage and usage instructions.
• Provide clear and concise advice to patients regarding the use, side effects, and storage of medications. Address any concerns or queries they may have.

• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring medications are adequately stocked and stored according to regulatory guidelines. Conduct regular stock checks and report any shortages or discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws and regulations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all operations.
• Foster a friendly and professional environment by offering exceptional service and building trust with customers. Handle customer feedback and complaints effectively.

• Cross-check prescriptions to ensure accuracy and authenticity, consulting with prescribers when necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, prescriptions, and inventory. Assist in preparing daily reports as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy, including proper labeling and storage of medications.

• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of services.

• Educate customers on basic health practices and promote preventative healthcare when applicable.
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Must be a qualified Pharmacy Technician or Enrolled Nurse.
• Proven experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of medications and their proper use.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
