About the Company:

Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) is a Public Limited Company wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Uganda, and holds the following operational licenses. System Operator, Operation of the High Voltage Transmission Grid, Bulk Power Supply, Import and Export of Power and; Public Infrastructure Provider (for ownership and operation of the Optic Fibre). Job Summary:   To prepare power system operational reports for production, demand and outages; and to monitor and report on production performance of generators, distributors and other customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production of system operations reports.
• Generation and supplies reconciliation.
• Demand and outage statistics compilation.
• Prepare quality assurance reports.
• Power System incident investigations.
• Monitor operational compliance with respect to the relevant agreements and regulations

• Bachelors in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in power systems operations
• Knowledge of the use of SCADA systems in power system operations would be an added advantage
• Computerized Report writing skills
• Analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Leadership and supervisory skills
