Job Purpose:
Our client is looking for a Telemarketer who is able to generate sales either by cold calling or answering requests in a fast-paced environment. To be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to buy the products/services. The goal is to promote business growth by expanding and closing the digital leads generated from the company’s digital channels.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Cold call people to sell products specific to the company. A knowledge of all company products/services is also required.

• Shares the selling points for the products/services.
• Answers questions about the products/services
• Recommends products/services based on their needs.
• Use scripts to provide information about product’s features, prices etc. and present their benefits.

• Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements.

• Persuade the customer to buy by demonstrating how services meet their needs.
• Record the customer’s personal information accurately.

• Completes orders and notifies the appropriate department.
• Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard the company’s reputation.

• Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.
• Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information.

Education, Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
• Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role.
• Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone.

• Proficiency in cross-selling, upselling, and cold-selling techniques to effectively engage clients.
• Being bilingual is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems.
• Excels at customer service.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Learns about new products or services quickly.
• Knows how to market each product or service.
• Works well independently and is good at time management.
• Proficient in English and Luganda.
• Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints.
• Persistent and results-oriented.
• Patient and able to handle customer rejection, aggressiveness and complaints
• A successful telemarketer must be friendly and persuasive.
• Understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs.
