BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

Design and Construction of Firewalls around 33Kv and 132Kv Substations at Nalubaale Power Station – UEGCL/WRKS/2024-25/20844

1. Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited has allocated funds to be used for Design and Construction of Firewalls around 33Kv and 132Kv Substations at Nalubaale Power Station.
2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works and supplies.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, Cap 205 and Regulations 2023 and is open to all bidders.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
5. The bidding document, which has been prepared in English, may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000/- (Ugandan Shillings One Hundred Thousand only). The method of payment will be in the bank on UEGCL A/C No.9030011777319, Stanbic Bank, upon which bidders shall be presented with a bank slip as proof of payment. The document will be issued electronically upon presentation of proof of payment.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below before or on Thursday 20th February 2025 at 10:30 am and be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 10,000,000/- (Ugandan Shillings Ten Million only). The Bid Securities must be valid until Tuesday 15th September 2025. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below on Thursday 20th February 2025 at 10:45 am.
7. There shall be a site visit on Friday 7th February 2025 at 11:00 am at Nalubaale Power Station.
