Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain a wide range of data—including research findings, project documentation, and administrative records—into company databases and digital platforms.
  • Review, verify, and cross-check data entries for completeness, consistency, and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors as needed.
  • Organize and categorize data according to established protocols, ensuring logical structure and ease of retrieval for research and business purposes.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams, project managers, and administrative staff to clarify data requirements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards, especially when handling sensitive research or proprietary information.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports from databases to support project tracking, compliance, and management decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of data entry procedures and documentation to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Support data migration, backup, and archiving processes to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements in the EMEA region.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on evolving data management practices and sector-specific requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, with a strong track record of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with database management systems (such as Microsoft Access, SQL-based platforms, or cloud-based solutions like Airtable or Google Sheets).
  • Familiarity with digital document management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Dropbox, or Google Drive) and office productivity software (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, adhering to data privacy and security protocols relevant to the EMEA region.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively in a remote, multicultural team environment.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fully remote work setting.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and proactively resolve issues.
  • Adaptability to evolving data management technologies and willingness to participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business administration, information management, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or records management, preferably within a research, scientific, or renewable energy context.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations (such as GDPR) applicable to the EMEA region is highly desirable.
  • Additional language skills relevant to the EMEA region (e.g., French, German, Arabic) are considered an asset.

Tools & Technologies

  • Database platforms: Microsoft Access, SQL databases, Airtable, Google Sheets
  • Office productivity: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Workspace
  • Document management: SharePoint, Dropbox, Google Drive
  • Communication: Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom
  • Data security and compliance tools relevant to remote work and EMEA regulations
