AMI (African Management Institute) is seeking an ambitious and talented Customer Growth Specialist to join our team on a contract basis, preferably based in Uganda. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving sales and participant recruitment for AMI’s business development programs.Your responsibilities will include implementing sourcing strategies, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and managing the end-to-end enrollment process for leaders and entrepreneurs in AMI programs. You will collaborate with the Sourcing & Activation team to deliver impactful events, materials, and digital campaigns while ensuring participants’ learning needs are met. The role also requires maintaining accurate records through AMI’s CRM system to drive data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Recruitment
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to drive sales and recruit participants for AMI’s impact programs.
- Identify and engage potential candidates for the CapPlus BDS for Ghana MSMEs Program and other AMI initiatives.
- Conduct outreach activities, including cold calls, emails, social media engagement, and participation in networking events, to generate leads.
Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry associations, and partner organizations.
- Serve as a liaison between AMI and prospective participants, providing clear and detailed information about program benefits, requirements, and application processes.
Enrollment Management
- Oversee the end-to-end enrollment process, from initial contact to program admission, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to design and execute promotional materials and campaigns that attract high-quality applicants.
Strategy Implementation
- Contribute to the development and refinement of regional recruitment strategies to meet and exceed enrollment targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and participant feedback to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and interactions in AMI’s CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, progress toward targets, and actionable insights from the field.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5+ years of experience in program sales, business development, or a related field.
- Strong project management skills to monitor and manage the business development process from lead generation to closure.
- Familiarity with business learning programs and SME development.
- Experience using Zoho or other CRM systems is highly desirable.
