JOB DETAILS:
Exquisite Solution Limited, is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator for our client in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting ongoing site operations by operating cranes safely and efficiently, while ensuring strict compliance with company policies and site-specific safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials
and equipment on-site. - Conduct daily pre-operational inspections to ensure crane functionality
and safety compliance. - Execute lifts in line with approved lift plans, rigging guidelines, and
supervisor instructions. - Interpret load charts, lifting plans, and technical drawings to determine
accurate lift requirements. - Collaborate closely with riggers, signalers, and ground crew to perform lifts
safely and efficiently. - Ensure full adherence to company safety protocols, site-specific operating
procedures, and applicable regulations. - Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, inspections, and
maintenance activities. - Support general maintenance tasks by safely positioning equipment and
materials as required. - Participate in toolbox talks, HSE drills, and ongoing safety training sessions.
- Evaluate lift plans for technical accuracy and risk mitigation.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues, incidents, or potential hazards.
- Keep the crane and surrounding work area clean, organized, and free of
safety risks. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or site manager
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical training or vocational certification in crane operation is an added advantage
- 3 years of hands-on experience operating cranes in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
- Valid Crane Operator certification/license in accordance with Uganda national standards.
- Thorough understanding of crane operation protocols, rigging techniques, and site safety procedures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting lift plans with a strong ability to assess potential risks.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a proactive approach to hazard identification and prevention.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
