Wilo is now looking for an experienced Country Sales Manager for Our East Africa region Uganda, who will be the catalyst in rolling out Wilo pumps and pumping systems within sustainable water supply and strengthening the business in East Africa.

The Country Manager will report to Managing Director of Wilo East Africa Limited and will physically be located in Kampala, Uganda . The position calls for energetic candidate who holds a relevant qualification in either water or business management and has extensive experience in managing and supporting a network of distributors, agents etc.

The purpose of the role entail to grow sales and profitability through hands on approach, excellent customer service, supported by a trained and motivated professional team, delivering company standards and targets everyday with commercial acumen that controls all aspects of the day-to-day business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Education: BSc Engineering Degree, (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) Experience: Above 5 years of technical / managerial / sales/ marketing experience in water , mining ,construction, agriculture sector is preferable

Language Skills: English and any official local languages

Skills: Sales Sales Management /Technical/Engineering/ Marketing preferable

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Country Sales Manager will have the following mandate:

 Generate new customers and grow Sales & Profits within agreed targets

 Expand product offering & product knowledge with key decision makers

 Maintain relations and grow business with our key account / existing distribution

 Achieve and improve sales and GP targets within the defined region

 Develop relationships with key segments role players – Water Services Boards, Water Companies, Drillers, NGOs, Consultants and Contractors Assist in drafting and managing sales budgets and forecasts

 Co-ordinate all Projects, and ensure Projects are registered on the International Data base, and that Wilo East Africa knows of all Projects - who is involved and status.

 Drive positive customer service through appropriate attitude and action.

 Drive Admin and reports (weekly and monthly)

 Develop and implement strategies with other the market segment managers and product managers

 Provide leadership, motivate and drive sales through distribution, end-user and contractor channels

 Market Scanning

 Provide technical support to customers, consultants, engineers and distribution channels

 Train consultants and distributors on the Company’s products including working closely with them to drive specifications on projects

 Ensure the company is always represented at Industry Associations and Institutional functions

 Ensure that the defined tender process is followed and completed

 Provide data to assist with import ordering

 Develop customers and business within Building Services, Water Utility and Industry
