KOOLBOKS is a fast-growing cooling company, we seek to make cooling affordable and accessible to all, using solar energy to power refrigerators. KOOLBOKS created an affordable off-grid solution that is able to generate continuous refrigeration for up to 4 days even in the absence of power and limited sunlight. With our embedded Pay-As-You-Go device, clients can pay everyday, week after week or month to month portions.

To help our consumers access and use solar refrigeration, KOOLBOKS is seeking to hire a country sales manager in Uganda. He or she will be in charge of directing and enhancing all procedures and guidelines, such as those governing the purchase and distribution of items to various outlets. He or she should be knowledgeable about KPIs from the retail industry and skilled at putting the required control mechanisms in place. Responsibilities:
As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing our business activities, driving growth, and ensuring the achievement of our strategic objectives within Uganda. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics.
● Develop and execute the overall business strategy and plans for Uganda, in alignment with the company's global objectives.
● Lead and manage a cross-functional team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success.
● Identify market opportunities, conduct market research, and analyse the competitive landscape to drive business growth and capture market share.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, industry associations, clients, and partners.
● Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and market trends to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
● Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies, and manage any legal or regulatory challenges that may arise.
● Collaborate with the global leadership team to share insights, align strategies, and contribute to the company's overall success.
● Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
● Drive a culture of high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the country team.
● Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and develop business partnerships.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
● Proven track record of at least [3] years in a senior management role, preferably as a Country Manager or in a similar capacity.
● A high degree of familiarity and practice of IT skills related to the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Ms Excel
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
● Proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for results.
● Fluency in local languages is required.
