SafeBoda is a Ugandan-based startup that aims to make motorcycle taxis (bodas) and cars more safe, affordable, and convenient across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a goal to change the perception of public transportation as unsafe and disorganized by providing a safe and reliable service that is accessible to all.

The Business Partnerships team is looking for a highly motivated, committed, and hardworking individual with high integrity to support the team. The role aims to identify and engage companies that need our transportation and delivery services.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and target potential corporate clients operating in Uganda
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective B2B accounts
- Conduct market research to understand corporate transportation needs and pain points
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and the finance department
- Conduct regular account reviews and check-ins to ensure client satisfaction
- Manage contract renewals and identify upselling opportunities within existing accounts
Sales Process & Negotiation
- Present transport solutions that address specific corporate transportation challenges
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements with corporate clients
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and payment terms
Product Knowledge & Consultation
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company's B2B features
- Stay informed about competitor offerings and market trends in Uganda's transportation sector
- Provide consultative selling by understanding each client's unique requirements
- Recommend appropriate service packages, payment methods, and reporting tools
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in CRM systems
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management
- Track client usage patterns and satisfaction metrics
Market Intelligence & Feedback
- Gather market intelligence on pricing, competition, and industry trends
- Provide feedback to product and operations teams on client needs and service improvements
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth service delivery for corporate clients
- Coordinate with Marketing team on corporate-focused campaign materials
- Support the Customer Success team in resolving escalated corporate client issues
- Provide feedback to Product team on client needs and service gaps.
- Train corporate clients on platform usage and available features
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market opportunities
- Track and manage invoices, collections, and contract renewals
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor's degree or certification in sales.
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role.
- Proficiency in English.
- Excellent knowledge of Google Suite
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Fast learner with and passion for sales.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations.
