Job Scope: 

Reporting to the Corporate Business Officer, the Corporate Business Administrator will, under guidance, maintain an updated database of the Schedule of Lives, Issue endorsements (underwrite new and old business).

As the ideal resource for this role, the successful candidate will be an ardent team player, with excellent people skills and keen attention to detail. In addition, she/he will be highly confidential, the go-to person with an analytical mindset, proactive and self-driven, able to meet deadlines on short notice.

Principal Accountabilities: 

Group Life Administration

• Prepare quotations

• Open policy files for new schemes

• Issue policies in respect of new schemes

• Update Schedule of Lives for both new and existing schemes

• Prepare Endorsements for new entrants and exits

• Receive claim intimations and vet them for completeness and validity before submission for approval

• Follow up outstanding premiums

• Assist with Tenders as and when required

• Participate as may be required in various events like Presentations, roadshows.

• Attend to various client queries

Reporting 

• Weekly reports on the activities for the week.

Other duties 

• Perform any other duties as required from time to time.

Core Competences Required: 

• Stakeholder relationship management skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Understanding and experience in Pension Administration would be an added advantage

• Computer literacy (knowledge and experience in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Self-motivation and a result-oriented attitude

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational skills able to multitask

• Ability to prioritize tasks and activities

• Ability to successfully work in a high activity, fast-paced environment

• Ability to proactively network with colleagues in the industry

• University degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science or an equivalent from a recognized University.

• 2-3 years working experience of which at least one is in a similar role
