Job Description

The coordinator patterns their leadership after the example of Jesus Christ, strengthens those they lead, effectively administers Seminary and Institute (S&I) programs in an assigned geographic area, and builds unity with others. This is a people manager position. The coordinator should have a strong background and experience in learning, teaching, training, communication, managing resources, and helping others to grow in their performance and development. The work of a coordinator helps youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares documents, reports, charts, and graphs. Collects data and compiles information.
  • Responds to changing priorities while supporting staff.
  • Receives direct and detailed instruction on tasks to be performed.
  • Maintains and updates calendars. Schedules and/or coordinates meetings. Makes travel arrangements. Reviews and distributes mail. Answers telephone and responds to routine calls/inquiries.
  • Creates and/or maintains filing systems. May perform data entry activities
  • May Perform specialized and less diverse clerical assignments such as budgets and financial control , Area Office/Unit Coordination or event scheduling, etc., as assigned.
  • Support events sponsored by S&I and oversee activities.
  • Operate Office equipment, keep inventory and oversee maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

Must be worthy to hold a current temple recommend

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Preferred or,
  • Two year diploma in Business Administration or any relevant field with four years of Secretarial or Administrative Assistant experience.
  • Intermediate Computer skills and experience including Windows, Microsoft Applications, and aptitude to learn other software applications.
  • Basic Business Accounting skills , including understanding of Invoices, purchase orders and contracts.
  • Basic Office skills to include: simple research capabilities, Knowledge of the operations and maintenance standards of Office equipment, sufficient familiarity with standard Office software to create or modify spreadsheets of word processing documents.
  • Pleasant disposition with good customer service and excellent interpersonal skills
