Job Summary
SSHJM are recruiting two new Coordinators to lead two community-based organisations, one at Children in Need Organisation (CHIN) in Nama Mukono, the other at Women and Children First Organisation (WACFO) in Pabo Amuru. Required: strong background in NGO leadership, management, resource mobilisation, community engagement, passion for the mission.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and strategic direction: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the organization. Lead in the implementation of the SSHJM Mission Development Programme Strategic Plan 2025-29. Ensure alignment to the SSHJM mission and values.
Programme development, management and implementation: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's programs and services. Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Resource mobilisation: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the organization's programs and initiatives.
Resource management: Ensure resource and financial stability and sustainability of the organization through effective budgeting and financial oversight.
Risk management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact program success and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address issues as they arise to minimize disruptions to Project operations.
Human resource development and management: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team of staff and volunteers. Ensure a good working environment and team spirit, enabling an organisational culture that supports effective learning, sharing and continual improvement.
Representation, community engagement, networking and advocacy: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including funders, partners, community members, and program participants etc. Advocate for the organization's mission and goals at local, national, and international levels.Engage in outreach activities to raise awareness of the program and attract participants, volunteers, or funding support.
Accountability and safeguarding: Lead and manage the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures; and response to breaches of the Concern Code of Conduct and associated policies, in collaboration with the Safeguarding department
The Person
· Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-profit leadership and management or a related field.
· Proven track record in fundraising and resource development.
· Strong financial management skills and experience with budgeting and financial planning.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
· Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
