JOB DETAILS:
Avanti Energy Services Limited, a leading Oil and Gas Human Resource Recruitment and Consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in the oil and gas sector. The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing project contracts by monitoring and controlling changes to project scope, schedule, and costs while preparing detailed cost and delay claims with supporting documentation. The role includes ensuring compliance with contractual terms, negotiating fair settlements, and mitigating potential risks.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and control changes to project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Prepare detailed cost claims for additional work or project changes.

• Ensure all variation claims comply with contract terms and are submitted promptly.

• Calculate the financial impact of delays, including extended overheads, additional labor, and other costs.

• Prepare and submit delay claims with comprehensive supporting documentation.

• Negotiate fair settlements on claims with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely resolution of claims to avoid escalation to legal action.

• Review and manage all contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Monitor project budgets and ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
• Provide regular cost reports to the project management team.

Qualifications and Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in Law
• A postgraduate Diploma in Law
• A Practicing Advocate's License
• Qualification in Contract Management, and Project Management added advantage and master’s degree in Contract Management or Law is an added advantage.
• 5 years of experience in contract management, cost control, and claims management.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and construction contracts.
• Proficiency in claims management software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data.
