Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Contract Management: Tracking, evaluating, and reporting contractual claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Project Planning & Monitoring: Presenting analytical reports on project progress and performance.
- Resource Allocation: Confirming that required resources align with contract specifications.
- Risk Mitigation: Identifying and managing risks related to contract conditions.
- Technical Expertise: Utilizing software like AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project for planning and estimation.
- Communication & Coordination: Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 18+ years of general experience, with at least 10 years in contract administration, estimation, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of FIDIC standards, strong communication, and quick responsiveness.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with knowledge of information technology.
Technical Skills:
- Project Scheduling & Planning: Expertise in tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and financial forecasting using industry-standard tools.
- Structural Analysis & Design: Proficiency in analyzing structural elements and using software like SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD Pro.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding material sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- FIDIC Contract Application: Deep understanding of international contract standards and legal frameworks.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Implementation of QA/QC methodologies for compliance with construction standards.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of material sourcing, vendor negotiation, and cost control.
- Risk Assessment & Management: Evaluating project risks and applying mitigation strategies
Additional Skills:
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Leadership & Team Coordination: Managing teams effectively and resolving conflicts.
- Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Analytical thinking to handle unexpected project challenges.
- Time Management: Ensuring milestones are met efficiently.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Handling pressures of construction deadlines and contract disputes
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Using tools like Power BI to analyze project performance.
- Contract Law & Negotiation: Familiarity with construction contracts like FIDIC, NEC, or JCT and strong negotiation skills
Reporting Structure:
The Admin and HR Manager will report directly to the General manager and collaborate closely with general staff/ employees and other members of the company’s team.
