JOB DETAILS:
Type of Employment: Open-Ended Contract - 37 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible (subject to security clearance)
Location: Royal Danish Embassy, Kampala, Uganda

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Danish nationals in distress in Uganda and side-accredited countries.
2. Serve as the primary contact for Danish Immigration Service and relevant authorities on immigration and consular matters (e.g., passports, driver’s licenses, document verification, certifications).
3. Handle consular case processing with Danish departments.
4. Coordinate consular matters and contingency planning with EU and Nordic Embassies.
5. Support consulates in side-accredited countries (DRC, Rwanda, Burundi, Madagascar) with consular services.
6. Provide administrative support to the Ambassador’s office and Embassy, including during official visits and cultural/public diplomacy events.
7. Manage cultural diplomacy initiatives, student exchanges, and training.
8. Oversee logistics for shipments from Denmark, including the Diplomatic Bag, and manage inventory.
9. Undertake other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
• Mandatory: Valid residence status in Uganda.
• Languages: Fluency in English and knowledge of Danish or another Nordic language.
• Skills:
o Service-minded with strong social skills.
o Analytical, organized, and good communicator.
o Proactive and adaptable in a multicultural team.
o Sensitivity to cultural and demographic differences.
• Experience:
o Relevant work in diplomatic missions or international organizations (advantageous).
o Consular services experience (preferred).
