Gordon’s Agricultural Organization-Uganda (GAO-UG) Limited is recruiting 50 Community Agricultural Promoters (CAPs) to improve the availability and last-mile delivery of bundled agricultural products and services to smallholder farmers in the Lango Sub-Region (Alebtong and Lira Districts).
This initiative is an exceptional opportunity for out-of-school youth with a passion for agriculture to serve as agents of change in their communities while earning an income through a performance-based model
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and deliver bundled agricultural products and services to smallholder farmers.
- Provide knowledge sharing and advisory support to farmers to enhance productivity.
- Profile farmers and document their needs in a digital system to ensure effective service delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between farmers, GAO-UG Limited, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate the aggregation and buy-back of agricultural produce from farmers.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be out-of-school youth residing in Alebtong or Lira District.
- Own a smartphone with basic operational knowledge.
- Possess literacy skills in the local language and English.
- Be passionate about agriculture and committed to improving community livelihoods.
- Provide a recommendation letter from a local leader (LC1 or a Church Leader).
- Demonstrate influence and leadership within their community.
