Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop and write clear, engaging content for a variety of platforms, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and website content.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, draft media materials, and coordinate media outreach efforts to promote organizational initiatives, events, or announcements.
• Brand Messaging: Ensure all communication materials are consistent with the organization's branding, tone, and messaging guidelines.
• Social Media Management: Manage social media accounts, create engaging posts, monitor audience engagement, and track the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Internal Communications: Assist with internal communications, including staff bulletins, emails, and other materials that ensure employees are informed and engaged.
• Event Promotion: Support the promotion of organizational events, including crafting messaging and working with teams to implement outreach strategies.
• Public Relations: Help maintain and enhance the organization’s public image by drafting press releases, talking points, and crisis communications when necessary.
• Reporting & Analytics: Monitor media coverage, social media engagement, and the success of communication strategies. Provide reports and insights to leadership on communication effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Experience in media outreach and managing media relationships.
• Knowledge of basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visual content.
• Experience in handling crisis communication or managing sensitive issues is a plus.
