JOB DETAILS:

Core Function:

• To handle heavy-duty long-distance transport, distribution, and logistics originating from the Kampala hub.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy commercial trucks (e.g., haulage trucks) for cargo delivery, strictly adhering to urban and highway traffic regulations.
• Coordinate closely with the Transport Manager and dispatch team regarding route optimization, delivery schedules, and cargo security.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of goods to prevent damage during transit.
• Manage and maintain transit documentation, including delivery notes, logbooks, and fuel receipts.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial heavy commercial driving license (appropriate class for heavy trucks).
• Clean driving record, extensive experience with long-haul city and highway driving.
• Disciplined approach to fuel management and vehicle care.
