Summary of Role:
Oversee the sales activities to enable the department to secure business for the company through sales and marketing activities backed up by an aggressive strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong client relationships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer need to inform business decisions.
- Lead customer satisfaction initiatives and implement service improvement plans.
- Manage quotations, strategic tenders, and key commercial opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team to achieve sales and performance targets.
- Collaborate with operations and support teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
- Oversee key account performance, contract compliance, profitability, and customer retention.
- Monitor commercial performance and provide timely reports, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Engineering
- Knowledge of Logistics-Clearing and Forwarding
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development within logistics, forwarding, supply chain, or related services.
- Ability to translate operational concepts into business solutions
- Already in relation to key market stakeholders.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and ideally also French
