About the Role
We are in search of a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in managing and implementing our cloud-based infrastructure and data workflows. This position involves a blend of cloud systems engineering, data management, and security oversight, with a focus on implementing robust and scalable cloud solutions across various platforms. The ideal candidate should be proficient in cloud technologies, possess a strong foundation in cloud-based data systems, and have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.

• Manage the AWS account, including setting up and configuring IAM roles and permissions.
• Architect and implement cloud solutions using a variety of AWS services, such as IoT Core, S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, RDS, and QuickSight.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices for data management.
• Design and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities for cloud-based systems. Regularly test and verify backups to guarantee recoverability.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Develop scripts, automation tools, and configuration management solutions to streamline server provisioning, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing and AWS services.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of proven experience in managing AWS environments and cloud architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, particularly related to data management and processing.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance measures in AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Preferred Experience:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or any other relevant AWS certifications.
• Experience in cloud cost management and optimization.
• Background in data engineering and familiarity with big data technologies.
