• Purpose:
To oversee and promote commercial activities within the city, including trade, investments, and industrial development.
• Responsibilities:
o Develop strategies to attract investment and promote trade within the city.
o Support the establishment and growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
o Monitor and enforce trade regulations and policies.
o Work with stakeholders to develop industrial parks and business hubs.
o Prepare reports on trade and investment activities within the city.
• Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration.
o Experience in trade and investment promotion is an added advantage.
o Strong knowledge of trade laws and regulations.

1. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts that exist in Arua City Local Government on a replacement basis.
2. The applications should be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008) and should be addressed to the SECRETARY ARUA CITY SERVICE COMMISSION, P.O. BOX 27, ARUA.
3. The closing date for receiving the applications is Tuesday 18th February 2025 at 5:00 pm.
4. Application forms can be obtained from the District/City Service Commission Offices Countrywide and at Public Service Commission offices or can be downloaded from Public Service Commission website ( www.psc.go.ug ) or Arua City Web site ( https://aruacity.go.ug ).
5. Applicants should attach 3 copies of their Certified Certificates, Academic transcripts, Other relevant supporting documents, Current coloured Passport size photographs taken at the same time, Identity cards (including institutional and National Identity Card).
6. The application should clearly bear the Post/Job Title and Reference Numbers with clearly written telephone contacts, email, and postal addresses.
