About the job
We are looking for an experienced nurse with a wide knowledge, skills and experience in children and young people’s nursing with a proven track record of leading and managing teams.
You will play a key role in the leadership and development of nursing services along with another Senior Team Leader, across Special Schools, Homecare, Residential, Respite and C&YP Continence Service. The teams work in close partnership with colleagues across Fife to achieve the objectives of the Fife Wide Health & Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan, ensuring an integrated approach to the delivery of compassionate care. Being an open, honest, approachable and responsible individual with an attitude to support excellent team working will be essential as will understanding how to develop, grow and nurture strong interpersonal relationships. These will be critical values and qualities which will develop and drive high performance to ensure the delivery of the best care experience possible.
A key objective will be to support the design and delivery of new models and pathways of care within the services.
This is a demanding specialist role, requiring high levels of professional skills to work effectively across a complex and competing multi-agency environment, where partnership working is essential. Excellent communication skills, collaborative leadership and highly developed interpersonal skills are a pre requisite to meeting all of the above.
We are committed to regular in-service training and personal and professional development.
The ability to travel across Fife is essential.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
