JOB DETAILS:
Background:
The University of Uganda is seeking a Chief Human Resources to initiate, manage, implement, and monitor Human Resource policies, strategies, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, advise, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to human resource management.
- Ensure salaries and wages are administered in accordance with university policy.
- Prepare plans and budgets for Human Resource activities.
- Provide technical support on human resource issues.
- Coordinate recruitment process and staff training.
- Ensure staff performance appraisal and welfare services.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
- High integrity, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to supervise teams and transfer skills.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of relevant packages.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent decision-making and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and supervise personnel.
- Age between 40 and 55 years.
Experience:
Minimum of ten years’ experience in HR, with five years at senior management level.

5. Track Your Application
- Go to "My Applications" to track your job status. - Possible application statuses:
- Submitted – Application received.
- Under Review – The employer is reviewing your application.
- Shortlisted – You have been selected for an interview.
- Rejected – Your application was not successful.
6. Prepare for the Interview (If Shortlisted)
- If selected, you will receive an email notification with interview details. - Research the university and the job role. - Practice common interview questions. - Dress professionally and be punctual.
7. Accept the Job Offer
- If you pass the interview, you will receive a job offer email. - Review the contract and salary details. - Accept the offer and follow the onboarding instructions.
