Job Description/Requirements
Full-Time Foundation (Education, Healthcare, Private Sector Development)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilisation strategy to mobilise funds for the implementation of programmes and ensure funds are efficiently and effectively utilised.
- Develop and submit partnership proposals for funding and ensure implementation and compliance.
- Develop and engage with partnerships like international organisations, academia, business community and organisations both in the private and public sector to build and nurture partnerships deemed essential in the Foundation.
- Develop and participate in the current projects/ programmes and ensure their effective and efficient implementation.
- Serve as primary point-of-contact to donors in the country, furnishing them with required reports, communications, and timely insights on program challenges and breakthroughs in a manner which maintains their positive engagement with the program.
- Quarterly reports to present to the Executive Director and staff the progress of the Foundation's activities in the Foundation.
- Develop and submit annual reports and plans to the Executive Director and Board , demonstrating and showing the growth of the Foundation in terms of the program portfolio, funding secured and partnerships developed.
Technical Skills
- Must have sound knowledge of business development and management.
- Must have hands on experience in research and grants proposal writing.
- Sound knowledge in grants / fundraising and donor etiquette.
- Ability to build, maintain and deepen relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated capacity for leading, inspiring a diverse team for optimum performance, and creating an organizational culture which is inclusive, dynamic, and innovative.
- Strong people skills, initiative, ability to network with government and a range of development partners to form positive relationships and to influence policy.
- Strong networking skills to better understand the political, economic, and social environments and build collaborative relationships.
- High analytical skills and the ability to assimilate and process information on a wide range of issues,
- Excellent writing, communication, and financial analysis skills.
Education & Requirements
Education: Master’s in Business administration or Marketing or Development studies from a recognised institution.
Experience: 10 years
Industry Experience: Education, Healthcare, Private Sector Development

Key performance indicators
- Resource mobilisation and fund-raising strategies in place.
- Work plans, reports and budgets prepared in time.
- At least 3 new research/programmes developed, funded and implemented annually.
- At least 3 functional signed MOUs in place annually.
- Active projects are monitored continuously and reported.
- New concept notes and funding proposals written, evaluated and approved to fund new initiatives of the Foundation.
