The Uganda National Mining Company (UNMC) was established under the Mining and Minerals Act, 2022 (Act No. 25 of 2022) and incorporated under the Companies Act 2012 (Act No. 1 of 2012). It is a limited liability company fully owned by the Government of Uganda.

Mission: To manage the commercial holdings and participating interests of the State in the mining and mineral industry to ensure that the country obtains optimal value from its mineral resources.
UNMC is recruiting an Executive Management Team to help achieve its vision of becoming a sustainable and profitable world-class mining and minerals company, creating value for its shareholders.

Role Summary:
The Chief Engineering Officer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing engineering activities to support mining operations and ensure compliance with technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage engineering projects related to mining infrastructure and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety, technical, and operational standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of innovative engineering solutions for mining efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical teams to optimize engineering processes.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering).
• At least 7 years of experience in engineering roles within the mining or extractive industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mining operations and infrastructure development.
