JOB DETAILS:
Level of Experience: At least 2 years' experience
Professional Qualifications: Minimum of Diploma in Catering & Hospitality Management
Job Requirements:
- Menu planning: Responsible for the entire menu, from appetizers to desserts. Create dishes that are both profitable and delicious.
- Cooking: Prepare food by measuring, mixing, and cooking ingredients according to recipes. He/she should be familiar with a variety of kitchen equipment, including pans, pots, cutlery, ovens, grills, slicers, boilers, grinders, and blenders.
- Kitchen management: Oversee the kitchen staff, giving directions to ensure the kitchen runs well. Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
- Communication: Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure they follow the correct procedures. Speak to customers who have questions about menu items or food allergies.
- Food safety: Be familiar with sanitation regulations and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen. He/she should also check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
