Job Overview:

SEVEN RANGES HOTEL LIMITED is seeking a skilled and creative Chef to manage our kitchen and pastry sections. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes and ensuring high-quality food standards. The role also involves making diverse pastries and baked goods, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation:

  • Prepare a variety of dishes, ensuring that each meal meets the hotel's standards for quality and presentation.
  • Experiment with new recipes and cooking techniques to create innovative dishes.

2. Pastry and Baking:

  • Make different types of cookies and other pastries, maintaining a consistent level of quality.
  • Develop and implement new pastry recipes, enhancing the hotel’s dessert offerings.

3. Kitchen Management:

  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and within the established timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

4. Menu Development:

  • Collaborate with management to design and update the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Cost out recipes and manage inventory to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

5. Team Leadership:

  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to the hotel's culinary standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a reputable hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management.
  • Creativity and a passion for cooking, with the ability to develop new dishes and pastries.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
