An opportunity has arisen for a Charge Nurse within the District Nursing Team.

This is a temporary development opportunity, expected to last approximately six months.

What You Will Do

Working as a Charge Nurse within the Irvine locality you will have relevant experience, knowledge and skills to deliver and promote excellent person centred, evidence based practice.

Duties will involve active caseload management, work delegation and clinical supervision of team members. Management of duty rotas, ordering of stores, deployment of nurse bank staff. Ensuring a fair and accurate system of the allocation of annual and all other workforce policies.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

Educated to degree level in adult nursing and current NMC registration, you will have relevant community experience. Knowledge of clinical governance policies, IT systems used in community nursing and evidence of active engagement with current, relative community nursing initiatives.

Hours

Working hours are 37.5 over 5 days including weekends

You must hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
