We are looking for a Cashier M/F based: Uganda

Job purpose
To support business sales by ensuring daily cash and check collections from customers and banking it for safe custody.

Profile Request:
Key responsibilities
• Receive payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, mobile money or automatic credits from customers (cash & check), verify and receipt into SAP (company Enterprise Resource Planning system)
• Issue receipts and process refunds to customers.
• Daily count of cash drawers at the day's start to take stock of correct amounts and sufficiency of change.
• Reconcile all collections for the day and prepare banking of the same.

• Maintain accurate records of transactions by filing support copies of daily collections, receipts and ensure easy accessibility for future reference.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of petty cash vouchers to facilitate timely reimbursement.

• Create bid securities and advance payment guarantees for the sales teams.

• Verify and confirm payment receipts from the bank, for the customers.
• Issue gate passes for customer vehicles.
• Timely and accurate reporting as required by the business.
• Assisting customers with inquiries, resolving issues related to payments and providing any related information.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures related to financial transactions and data protection.

Educational and experiential requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related business discipline
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (direct customer interfacing) in a busy environment.

• Good knowledge of MS Office packages especially Excel
• Excellent customer care skills with ability to listen and build rapport with customers
